If you’ve been following my reviews on each book in Graceley Knox’s Wicked Kingdom series, you will know how much I love it! Book 3, Throne of Secrets, is no exception. So many things are happening in this book and it’s pure fantasy bliss!
Throne of Secrets, as is the rest of the series, is written in Ever’s point of view. Her character is evolving as she wades her way through the politics and prophecy she was thrust into. But what I would give for a few chapters from Dare’s POV… He’s a man hell-bent on protecting the woman he loves, sometimes from herself.
5+ stars for world building. I know I have said this before, but the Wicked Kingdom’s world is phenomenal. I am a reader who feels the world, a fantasy story takes place in, is as important as the plot and love story. Everything is interconnected in one way or another. Miss Knox shows us a complex world with an intricate plot and a heart palpitating love story. The whole package.
Fantastic twists and turns, as we get deeper into the maze that has become Ever’s life. There were a few moments when I was questioning Ever’s leadership skills. Her mouth has a tendency to run away from her. Thankful for Dare in those instances. But the other moments that showed she is really a tender-hearted woman underneath all of her sarcastic armor had me rooting for her all the more.
With solid writing and badass characters, Miss Knox has another hit with this reader. I’m looking forward to the conclusion of Ever and Dare’s storyline that will come out next year. I can’t get enough of this series! Don’t forget, it’s a continuing story line and must be read in order. I highly recommend each book in this series.
