My hope for 2017 are that we all keep hoping. Some days it’s tough to see the good and it’s even harder to believe in things you can’t see, but here’s my plan– to keep hoping and to do my part to give others hope. We need more kindness in the world but kindness doesn’t just happen. It’s not enough to *feel* kindly toward others or to *think* kind thoughts, we have to BE kind. We have to be actively kind to other people. That means action. That means I need to smile more and be more patient and be more helpful and be more generous and reach out to other people and DO what I can to make the world a better place. When it’s hard to feel hope and kindness and love, I think we have to go out and be part of creating hope and kindness and love. So that’s my plan for 2017– to BE kind and to BE hopeful and to help spread that around.

Two of my favorite quotes that I have by my computer and in my planner for 2017 are:

Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness. –Desmond Tutu

Infuse your life with action. Don’t wait for it to happen. Make it happen. Make your own future. Make your own hope. Make your own love. And whatever your beliefs, honor your creator, not by passively waiting for grace to come down from upon high, but by doing what you can to make grace happen… yourself, right now, right down here on Earth. –Bradley Whitford

I love quotes! I always have– I had journals filled with them even as a teenager. So share a favorite quote with me!

Storm chaser Max Grady can already feel it: there’s a tornado coming to his hometown of Chance, Nebraska. Max is going after it, and the only person he wants by his side is police officer Bree McDermott, fellow adrenaline junkie, his best friend, and the woman Max has secretly been in love with for years. But when a close call with a tornado leaves them lip-locked, Max knows that the danger is only beginning.

Bree is always up for excitement. Her close and sexy encounter with Max is unlike anything she’s felt before, and she wants more. As they work together to help clean up Chance, the air between them crackles with sexual tension. But Bree has a tendency to look ahead to the next thrill, and Max knows it. Now they’re all tangled up as they chase the strongest force of nature on earth: love.

  1. No matter how busy you think you are, you must find time for reading, or surrender yourself to self chosen ignorance. Confucius

  2. One of my favorites from Jane Austen:

“The person, be it gentleman or lady, who has not pleasure in a good novel, must be intolerably stupid.”

I guess it’s not very kind, but I’ve always been very suspicious of those who don’t enjoy a good book.

  3. My planner is filled with quotes to get me through the year. My favorite quote is “Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” J.K. Rowling. (Dumbledore from HP)

  4. “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.” — Dr. Seuss

  5. “The best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or even heard, but must be felt with the heart.”
    —Hellen Keller

  6. Shoot for the moon and if you miss you will still be among the stars. -Les Brown

  7. Success is simple, do what’s right, the right way at the right time.

One best book is equal to hundred good friends but one good friend is equal to a library ~Dr A.P.G Abdul Kalam

Whatever you give to life, it gives you back. Do not hate anyone, the hatred which comes out from you will someday come back to you. Love others and the love will come back to you.

If you fail in something never give up because F.A.I.L mean First Attempt In Learning and if you get no as answer don’t worry as N.O means Next Opportunity:)

  8. Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our Breath Away- by anonymous

  9. Worry is like a rockin’ horse. It’s something do that don’t get you nowhere. ~ Old West Proverb

  10. Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll still get run over if you just sit there. ~ Will Rogers

  11. “It’s been awhile since I felt this feeling that everything that you do gives me
It’s been so long since somebody whispered
    Shut up and kiss me”
    ~ Mary Chaplin Carpenter
    “Shut Up and Kiss Me”

  12. “The will of the Strong will never be shaken by doubts of the weak.” ~ Unknown

  13. My favorite is “Today’s special moments are tomorrow’s memories” This one is from Disney’s Aladdin

  14. The Pessimist Sees Difficulty In Every Opportunity. The Optimist Sees The Opportunity In Every Difficulty. – Winston Churchill

  15. I always liked “Learn a little bit about everything and a lot about one thing”…

  16. One that I saved on Instagram is, “No need to worry, stress, or fear. God is always on time.” 🙂 Reminds me that I’m not the one driving the bus, even if I act as if I am! And write on, Erin, write on! 😀

  17. The one I always try to remember everyday is “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” I think if more people subscribe to this way of thinking, the world would be a better place!
