My hopes and dreams for 2017 … a much happier one than 2016. I think everyone felt 2016 was tiring and draining. I’m very much looking forward to a happier world, reflected in a happier social media environment, and happy readers, writers and bloggers. I always hope for health and happiness for my family and friends. I’m not Pollyanna. I just think if you start wishing happy, you’re in a good place to begin the year!
What do YOU wish for in 2017? Can be book related or personal? I’d love to know.

A best friend’s little sister story in which the little sister and the best friend are a tad competitive, a bit adversarial, and sporting a good dose of sexual tension made Big Shot a joy to read. ~ Slick, Guilty Pleasures
Big Shot, a sexy new standalone from Carly Phillips & Erika Wilde
Fall in love with your next Book Boyfriend . . .
Wes Sinclair is a notorious heart-breaker, a hot as sin bad boy with a panty-dropping smile no woman can resist. Except for his best friend’s little sister and business adversary, Natalie Prescott, who seems immune to his flirtatious charms. While she’s become a permanent fixture in his dirtiest, most scandalous fantasies, she wants nothing to do with him, or his seductive promises. Challenge accepted. His goal? To bring her to her knees, make her beg, and show her just how good being bad can be.

Big Shot is the latest book from the writing duo of Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde and it is fun, flirty, and oh so very, very sexy. A best friend’s little sister story in which the little sister and the best friend are a tad competitive, a bit adversarial, and sporting a good dose of sexual tension made Big Shot a joy to read.
Wes Sinclair along with several of his good friends has worked hard to put their business, Premier Realty, on the map and for six years they’ve had a great run. However Wes’s best friend’s little sister, Natalie Prescott is honing in on his territory and building quite the reputation for herself in real estate. When she bests him for the third time in a week, Wes makes a bet with Natalie and they both get more than they bargained for.
I loved this story and the fact they both had been lusting after one another but kept their distance, Wes because of the bro-code and Natalie because Wes isn’t a permanent type of guy. Spending a lot of time together following their bet, the lines are crossed and they jump into a no strings secret physical relationship. It was interesting watching these two discover each other as adults; Natalie began to see the sweeter and caring side of Wes and Wes began to see that Natalie was all woman and he appreciated her sassy, sexy side as much as her smart, intellectual side.
While there is no doubt these two meshed well on an intellectual and sexual level and that their years of knowing one another made it easy for them to fall fast and hard, I have a feeling they will be discovering many new things about each other for years to come.
Things I really appreciated about this book is that there wasn’t a lot of angst or overly dramatic scenes and that when Connor found out that Wes and Natalie had been seeing one another there wasn’t any of the macho big brother posturing, he was rational and basically told his friend he approved and that he was sure his sister was in good hands with him.
Full of laughs, hot sexy times, and flirty banter, I loved Big Shot!
