Spotlight on Nancy Corrigan’s Kagan Wolves Series

Introducing Nancy Corrigan

The most common question I get after people read my biography is—how did I go from working as a chemist to writing romance? The answer is…on a dare.

In 2011, I read a really, really bad book. I tossed my kindle and complained to my friend about how horrible it was, saying even I could write a better book. She laughed and said I couldn’t.

I had to prove her wrong.

I have to admit, it was a lot harder than I thought. As a chemist, I lived and breathed science. English…not so much. I’ve always had an active imagination, though. I’m also not one to back down from a challenge. So, I wrote, studied the craft, and wrote some more. I might’ve cried and whined a lot too, but I didn’t give up. I kept honing my first story, along with my voice, until Treasured Find, book 1 of the Royal-Kagan Shifter World, was written the way it was always meant to be told.

Score one for stubbornness!

When it came to writing ‘The End’ however, I couldn’t do it. I’d built this world with secondary characters I fell in love with along the way and storylines that were just dying to be explored. I couldn’t just walk away. If I did, I’d never know if Devin found peace and a woman who’d love him, flaws and all, or if Mira mated the man she loved.

I was addicted. Writing went from a dare to an obsession I was passionate about. Now, I can honestly say, I’m so very glad I accepted that dare and didn’t give up. I hate losing. I’d also really hate not knowing what happens to Kade. Or Dante. Or Zach.

So, my inspiring words are this—don’t give up on your dreams or those dares you accept out of stubbornness. Ever. Keep redefining your goals, embrace learning, and accept that you might fall down along the way. All that matters is your willingness to pick yourself up and move forward.

Kagan Wolves

Sometimes the only choice is to take a chance and enjoy the consequences.

Sean Reynolds is content wielding his dominant personality as the public face of Kagan Industries. Pack leadership—and all the responsibilities that go with it—doesn’t interest him. But when alpha-in-waiting Nic Kagan skips town, there’s no one to take on his aging father’s spirit wolf. No one but Sean.

Sean wants none of it, but with his wolf growling in eagerness to fill that void, he heads for the bar in an attempt to drink the beast into submission.

He’d like to ignore the sultry blonde shifter burning up the dance floor with moves that make him painfully aware of the full moon. But when she abruptly disappears, his wolf sends him in hot pursuit. Following the scent of a female he can see in his bed not for a single night, but for a lifetime.

Note:This is a short novella (11K) that introduces the Kagan Pack, the Alexander Pride’s single shifter neighbors. This is not a full length book, but it may be read as a standalone.

Follow his head, he breaks her heart. Follow his heart… he breaks his pack.

From the moment he was born, Nic Kagan’s future was sealed. He’ll accept a mate, have kids, and eventually take over his father’s role as pack alpha. There’s just one problem.

Long ago, his heart settled on Riley, the pack’s human doctor and honorary member. Except only half of him can have her. The other half—his wolf—won’t give a weak non-shifter female a second sniff.

No one—human or shifter—has left a mark on Riley’s soul like Nic. But with his father hospitalized, any hope things could work out between them is slipping away. Yet Riley understands something else about pack life. Power isn’t always a physical gift; love is just as strong. What she and Nic have is worth fighting for.

With rival threats mounting, Nic realizes he can’t simply turn his back on Riley. Though his wolf could tear his heart out for it, he must fight for what he wants before he loses his mate. His pack. Maybe even his sanity.

Warning: Contains a reluctant alpha with only one roadblock between his heart and the woman he loves—biology. And a woman who isn’t giving up on him, even if it means risking her life to fool Mother Nature.

Their bond is heaven on earth… but it could tear their pack apart.

Ethan Jager is forced to hide behind a false identity as his pack mates suffer under Michael Tanner’s rule. It’s not his choice; he was born broken, without the primitive urge to breed driving him to pick a mate.

While his wolf sleeps, his heart has chosen for him: Noah, widower and fellow pack dominant.

Everything changes the day Hannah Kagan smiles at him. Lust awakens his wolf – a first. Hannah is beautiful, loyal, kind, everything an alpha male should want. And mating her will allow him to reclaim his pack. It will also leave his soul with a giant hole when he’s forced to rip Noah out of his life.

Hard choices are required of alpha males, but choosing which lover to let go is one Ethan refuses to make. The alternative will not only change the pack, but transform their world… if he can keep his mates alive long enough to claim them both.

Warning: Contains an alpha male whose wolf doesn’t like to share his toys, a dominant female who’s nobody’s plaything, and a beta male who doesn’t roll over for anyone. Also: speed dating, werewolf style. Band-Aids required.

About the Author
A true romantic at heart, Nancy Corrigan is convinced there’s a knight in shining armor for every woman (or man), but you won’t find damsels in distress in her stories. She adores pairing alpha heroes with women strong enough to match them and bring them to their knees. She also enjoys flipping the traditional roles in romances because her motto is—love and people should never be forced to conform to anyone’s norm.

She holds a degree in chemistry and has worked in research but now focuses on ensuring quality. She considers it the perfect outlet for her as she’s the first to admit she has some OCD tendencies. It carries over into her writing life too. While engrossed in a novel, she has a habit of forgetting to eat and sleep. Fortunately, she’s married to her own knight in shining armor who understands her oddities and loves her anyway. They reside in Pennsylvania with their three children, dog, snake and guinea pigs. Her other interests include tattoos, animals, classic cars and all things spooky and sexy.
