Add into that some hilarious plans, sexual tension that could make anyone want to have a pair of handcuffs near by, a best friend who helps out and a little Dukes of Hazard action and this is a really great read. ~ Cheyenne, Guilty Pleasures
All of Dale’s brothers help with their bounty hunting business, all except her. Wanting out of that life, she left for college, but on her first morning back home for the holidays, she’s back to chasing after a bail jumper. When she realizes the jumper is her ex-boyfriend, Jax, Dale gets dragged into helping him evade her brothers so he can win an underground fighting competition. Jax has to win the competition to help his sister, but soon sparks fly between Jax and Dale. Old wounds are reopened, and Dale may need help herself because she’s close to falling back in love with her Fighter.
Originally published in the All I Want anthology, now being released as a standalone novella.
Fighter is only the second book I have read by Tijan, and I can guarantee that it will not be my last. This author hooks you in almost right from the start, and while this is only a novella, I couldn’t put in down at all. I love fighters and bad boys, but what I really love is a second chance romance when you know that the history between the hero and heroine isn’t truly complete and that the chemistry between them is just waiting to combust.
I loved the different twist on the premise, a female bond enforcer going after her ex-boyfriend who just happens to still get her panties wet and cause a ton of feeling to erupt when she sees him again. She knows she needs to turn him in, especially since her brothers and fellow bond enforcers are after him on a skip, but when she learns of his reason why he has that warrant, well you could tell that she wants to help him out. Add into that some hilarious plans, sexual tension that could make anyone want to have a pair of handcuffs near by, a best friend who helps out and a little Dukes of Hazard action and this is a really great read.
I believe that the author is going to do a full length novel continuing the story and if she does I will be getting my hands on it the minute it releases. This one will leave you with a smile on your face and if you have older brothers the satisfaction on besting them at their own game.
