From beginning to end I was completely charmed by these two seemingly different people and their precarious past. ~ Slick, Guilty Pleasures
A good ol’ Georgia boy teaches a Myrtle Beach princess how to get down and dirty…
It’s been two years since Callie Holden helped put her father in prison, and since then, she’s learned a lot about life and herself. To Callie’s surprise, she actually likes working and has learned money is a tool to be used for good… or evil. She also realizes that even though she’s traveled the globe, she’s never truly lived. She longs for adventure and to experience a wildly passionate romance. The last place she expects to discover her dreams is in the arms of the ever-surly man she’s dubbed “The Beast.” But when they’re forced to work together, unexpected chemistry changes everything. In Wade Neumann’s arms, Callie finds the excitement and passion she’s been looking for, as well as a few other surprises.
Wade Neumann has spent the last year burying the pain and humiliation of being left at the altar by a woman who used him as a novelty toy before settling down with someone like herself—someone rich. He’s lost himself in a stream of nameless females, but instead of the trysts helping him heal, he’s only grown colder and more jaded. He hasn’t moved on with his life. He’s merely stuck going through the motions… until he meets Callie Holden, a woman who looks like his ex but is actually the opposite—sweet, compassionate, loyal, and most importantly, not rich. Or so he thinks. Because just as he starts to believe things with Callie are real and true, she gives him thirty million reasons to doubt all over again.

One thing I love about reading a series by an author is when a character show great personal change and not because of someone else but because they realize they don’t like the person they’ve become. In Going All in by Alannah Lynne we see just that and we get a supremely sexy yet complicated love story to boot. I am beyond excited that Ms. Lynne is adding to this series once again and given her readers one hell of a great story.
In the second book of this series Callie Holden wasn’t my favorite person and while she did redeem herself during that story I was still harboring some not so nice feelings towards her so I’ll admit I wasn’t sure how much I’d enjoy this book. But leave it to this author to completely turn around my feelings and make me fall just a little bit in love with the person Callie has become. Despite a sizeable trust fund and a healthy savings account Callie is determined to live on her salary as an interior designer. I really admired the way Callie turned her life around and while she still maintained a friendship with two friends from her “old life,” I was glad that she wasn’t so easily influenced by them; that she found it easier to look at people from all walks of life and understand they were people just like her. When she has to work with Wade Newmann a man that she dubbed “The Beast” after working with him previously she finds herself intrigued by him and his life and can’t help but wonder what he can show her.
Wade can’t believe it when his boss sends him to help Callie again; the last thing he needs after a night out with his best friends is to deal with “the princess” and someone that reminds him of his ex-fiancée. However as soon as he walks in Callie seems like a different person and helps him through a rough patch. He finds he actually likes Callie and he is more than happy to help her with her quest to experience new things as long as they remain “just friends.”
Wade and Callie come from two vastly different worlds but they complement each other so well. Wade sees so much in Callie and wants nothing more than to help her come out of her comfort zone. Callie finds that she loves how open Wade is and how dedicated he is to his friends. She admires him for the life he’s led and what he’s made of himself. It was so easy to feel the attraction between these two and I admire Wade for slowing down and making sure Callie was sure about what she wanted when he could have easily moved forward early on. When Callie really impressed me was her willingness to meet Wade head on and make him listen when he was being pigheaded and stubborn.
From beginning to end I was completely charmed by these two seemingly different people and their precarious past. I love how over time they peeled back each other’s layers and found the real person underneath; the person that captivated them and the person who would come to mean so much to them. Going All In is another spectacular addition to this series and if you aren’t reading author Alannah Lynne then you are missing out on some of the sexiest romance out there.
