Never a dull moment in Fool’s Gold and Susan Mallery has done it again with Jack and Larissa’s story. ~ Shelly, Guilty Pleasures

After a family tragedy, former football hero Jack McGarry keeps the world at arm’s length—a challenge now that his PR firm has moved to neighborly Fool’s Gold, California.

Larissa Owens knows where she stands—Jack sees her as just another one of the guys. No matter what her heart wishes, Jack’s her boss, not her boyfriend. But then Larissa’s big secret is revealed…by her mother!

When Jack discovers the truth about Larissa’s feelings, her touch suddenly becomes tantalizing, and he’s not sure he wants to resist. But if he gives in to desire, heartache is sure to follow. Friendship or true love—will Jack go for the ultimate play?

After Larissa’s Mom drops a statement on Jack does he and Larissa start to think of each other in atruegemawardnew ways. With Jack’s money Larissa is able to do so much good and Jack can stay in the background never putting himself out there, but once the two cross Jack runs and can’t handle the thought of loving once again and possibly losing that love and trust. Larissa has to get over Jack and the only way to do that is seduce him, but it goes all wrong and she falls even more in love with him. When circumstances change and Jack runs after striking out at those he loves, Larissa is left hurt and alone. Once Jack realizes what he lost only then does he show those he loves the extent he will go to to get their forgiveness and love back.

Never a dull moment in Fool’s Gold and Susan Mallery has done it again with Jack and Larissa’s story. Jack and Larissa have been each others lives along time and now with one thought things can go farther than either of them could have ever thought.
