I hate it, hate it when someone recommends a book to me and I can’t remember who did it so I can thank them. So, to the person who recommended I read The Awakening by Janelle Denison, I thank you. Being someone who has been married for 25 years and in a committed relationship for 27, I appreciate books that are about couples rediscovering their love and exploring new sexual boundaries. This is a very short and erotic story but it is well worth the 99 cent price tag 
and I have no doubt no matter if you are in a relationship or not that you will take something away from this story.
Jill and Dean have been together since their teens. As a result of a teenage pregnancy, they’ve basically grown up together being lovers, parents, and friends. I like that Jill decided it was time to spice up their sex life and took matters into her own hands. Dean wasn’t hard to convince although he seemed somewhat concerned that Jill was unhappy in their marriage. He got on board very quickly and they explore some new and exciting sexual territory together.
The one thing I hope this book does is open up the lines of communication between partners. I’ve said this before when I’ve reviewed books of this nature, being with the same person for many years does not mean you can’t enjoy each other and you can’t continue to experiment. If anything, the absolute trust you have in your partner should make it that much easier to explore everything both you and your partner’s hearts desire.
I very much enjoyed watching Jill and Dean embark on a new chapter in their lives. It was gratifying to see another couple turn to each other instead of others to fulfill their needs. I can’t recommend this book enough to anyone who is in a long term relationship, to those just starting out, or to anyone who dreams of having a loving and lasting commitment. Thank you again to the person who recommended this book to me, thank you to Janelle Denison for writing it and I look so forward to the next installment of this series!
