This is an amazing story of two people and their wonderful beginning, how a friendship can grow and develop into so much more, the trials and tribulations that are soon to follow. ~ Guilty Pleasures
Description:
People come into our lives. Some stay, and many go. Some build us up, while most tear us down. They become our friends, our enemies, our lovers, our tormentors.
Christian Davison came into mine, and I knew I’d never be the same.
To Elizabeth Ayers, New York City had always been a dream. She’s worked her entire young life to make it here.
Groomed to one day take over his father’s law firm, attending Columbia University was Christian Davison’s only option.
Neither wanted anything more until they sat across from each other at a café table after being paired as study partners.
Christian wants her, but Elizabeth knows better than to give into their intense attraction. Yet there is little she can do to stay away.
Lost to You, the prequel to the bestselling romance, Take This Regret. A New Adult novella, recommended for readers 17+. It’s unnecessary to have read Take This Regret to enjoy Lost to You.

I was thrilled when I won this short prelude to Ms. Jackson’s Take this Regret, I had just downloaded the novel but I went ahead and started Lost to You first even though it isn’t required
and I had also read many saying read Take this Regret first. Personally I’m just not like that I need to get a feel of the characters before I dive into them and when I am given this opportunity I take it. Let me tell you right now I can’t say if I am glad I did or not because I haven’t yet read Take this Regret but after reading Lost to You, WOW, it is next!!
Christian has been born and breed to a life that isn’t his own, Elizabeth has been taught to work hard and fight hard for what you want. One of experience one of innocence, Elizabeth knows to keep her walls up around Christian or she will lose herself completely to him and Christian has never been around a girl that he has been able to be himself that has accepted him and not asked anything in return. He knows he wants her but he also knows in the end he will hurt her but the thought of her not in his life devastates him.
A short story in the meeting of Christian and Elizabeth, the friendship that they develop and try as they might to keep it that way it does develop into a strong and undeniable bond. When then lines are crossed they both come to realize that there is more at stake. This is an amazing story of two people and their wonderful beginning, how a friendship can grow and develop into so much more, the trials and tribulations that are soon to follow.
I don’t know if my heart is prepared to go on to the next phase of Christian and Elizabeth’s journey, I can feel the heartbreak waiting to happen because as much as I felt for them here at the end I don’t want my bubble to burst. I don’t know if I did the right thing or the wrong thing by reading this first but I am riddled with anxiety, yes good and bad. I do know one thing A.L. Jackson just made one of my top favorite authors!
