Description:

and a plus-sized model. As a plus-sized girl myself, I just love reading about alpha males who love a little meat on their girls and appreciate everything they have to offer. And, believe me, once they started, they both appreciated what the other one had!
Marissa Lambert is a plus-sized model who is very capable of taking care of herself. Or so she thinks. There have been 2 murders in her little community and her agent is afraid that she may be the next target. She is totally against some back-woods cowboy being her body-guard.

“Beau? Great! He even has a good old Texas boy’s name. And is he a cowboy, too? I can just see him now. Some big, lumbering galoot in dusty boots, cowboy hat, and a cheek full of tobacco. I’ll bet his tone is brimming over with a soft twang, too. Yes ma’am. No ma’am.” She took in a breath.”
Well, doesn’t Ms. Marissa get a surprise when she is manhandled and put up against the wall in her dressing room by the “lumbering galoot” before she even realizes what he’s done. Guess she shouldn’t have flirted with him while she was walking the runway!

Beau Evans is one hot cowboy. Not one to settle down since he and his 2 brothers own and operate the family ranch as well as Evans Security. But, boy is he intrigued with Marissa. She’s everything he ever wanted in a woman … smart, sexy and a little feisty. He’s never mixed business with pleasure and he was not about to start now. Well, maybe there’s a first time for everything!
After the little scene against the wall in her dressing room and then her seduction on the dance floor to Luke Bryan’s “Country Girl” (yes, I smiled, I danced, I was all happy, happy with that one) Beau knew that he had to get to know her better – a lot better. Off to his ranch to keep her safe and show her just what kind of a “galoot” he really was.
Tory Richards always keeps me interested in her books. This was a short story filled with a little intrigue and lots of loving. There are two other brothers that I can only hope will be highlighted in other books since they really seemed interesting! What I like the most about the writing of Ms. Richards is the way she writes the mystery aspect of her books. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a whole lot of that in this one which left me a little disappointed. But, not disappointed enough to highly recommend this book to everyone. I loved the way she brought the book to a close. It was sweet and funny. I only hope that Beau’s brother enjoyed the kiss as much as Beau did!

Thanks for the review – I’ve enjoyed reading Tory’s books in the past and I’m excited she wrote a book about a plus size heroine.
