Ms. Kleypas delivers another heart wrenching and beautifully written masterpiece. ~ Guilty Pleasures
Description:
One woman who has been cursed never to find love…
One man without a soul who wants her more than life itself…
They meet in a small island town in the Pacific Northwest, where magic is in the air and fate is a force too powerful to defy…
Justine Hoffman has made a comfortable life for herself on the island of Friday Harbor. She is the proprietor of a successful boutique hotel, and she has the safe, predictable life she has always wanted. Growing up with her flighty, nomadic mother, Marigold, has instilled in her a deep longing for stability. But in spite of everything Justine has achieved, there is still something missing. Love. And after years of waiting and dreaming, she is willing to do whatever it takes to change her destiny.
What Justine soon discovers is that someone cast a spell on her when she was born, with the result that she will never find her soul mate. Determined to change her fate, Justine finds a way to break the enchantment, never dreaming of the dangerous complications that will follow.
And when Justine meets the mysterious Jason Black, she accidentally unleashes a storm of desire and danger that threaten everything she holds dear . . . because Jason has secrets of his own, and he wants more from her than fate will ever allow.

Crystal Cove is the final book in Lisa Kelypas’ Friday Harbor Series. I love the entire series and although I am sad to see it end, Crystal Cove ended it well.
It is no accident that Jason Black meets Justine Hoffman at her bed & breakfast when his company rents the entire place for a working vacation. With ulterior motives that become completely understandable, although still wrong, Jason and Justine get much more than they ever bargained for.
Ms. Kleypas write’s paranormal elements in a way that makes you think, “This could really happen in real life.” I have enjoyed her take on it throughout the entire series. All of it written without the need for a complex paranormal world. Crystal Cove has two of my favorite things: a lot of magic and a little of the art of shibari. Both are sexy and threatening and exciting all at the same time.
I couldn’t get to the end quick enough to know how Jason and Justine would end up; all while savoring every moment. I don’t want to give spoilers, but the obstacles they had to overcome were huge. My heart was ready for everything to be good again. Definitely a fabulous ending for a fabulous book. Crystal Cove gives “soul mate” a new definition.
Ms. Kleypas delivers another heart wrenching and beautifully written masterpiece. If you haven’t read the rest of the Friday Harbor Series, you need too. I give the series as a whole 5 stars and Crystal Cove 4 stars.
