The characters and story caught me in its grasp in the first epic book of this series, and I find this book even more alluring! ~ Guilty Pleasures
Description:
The drums of war are beating in both Heaven and Hell and only the love of a half-demon Princess, Natalia, can stop the oncoming slaughter. Unfortunately, Princess Natalia has her hands full trying to keep her human concubine from killing her demon lovers, in addition to learning how to survive the deadly pleasures and politics of the Court of Lust.
With the abuse of opium increasing in the mortal world, High Prince Belal, ruler of the Deadly Sin Sloth, is gaining power by the day and threatens to soon rule all of Hell. In a desperate attempt to curb Belal’s powers, Natalia is sent to mortal earth to stop what has been prophesied to be a major turning point in the war. Cut off from her men in Hell, Natalia soon realizes that all is not as it seems. What may have at first been a blessing has become a curse.

Reading Princess of Lust is like watching the middle installment of the original Star Wars trilogy. You come into the middle of the story and the ending is in the final book.
Having said that, it is still a captivating book. Author Ann Mayburn has created a world where hell
is an actual place, with protocols and political scheming abound. Heaven is also an actual place, but the two sides have alliances with each other, and earth is a battleground not between good and evil but between factions of both sides. Hell survives due to the human population’s dependence on opium.
Princess Natalia, half demon and half human, is trying to help her father, the High Prince of Lust, save his kingdom. She is distracted by the men she is involved with: Gregor, her concubine; Raum, her blood mate to be; Eline, her guard; and Kirin, Raum’s concubine. All love her and want to protect her, but they can’t go with her when she returns to earth to protect the man who is preparing a cure for opiate addiction. What happens to her when her father’s enemies find her is the subject of the final book.
This was a novella, and it is to be hoped that someday all three stories are combined into one book. Be prepared for a world that is completely different from our expectations of Heaven and Hell and how demons should behave.
I would give this a higher rating if I could have access to the ending.

Princess of Lust Book 2 in the For The Love of Evil series by Ann Mayburn.
Things are falling apart in Hell, and Natalia is trying to everything that her all to Mortal body will allow her to do! Chaos bubbles pop up devouring everything in its path, as Belal, Keeper of the
deadly sin Sloth gains more power through the ever increasing opium addiction, and Natalia’s father Asmodeus, Keeper of the deadly sin Lust loses power. Add in tension between the two top males in her life, and you have a combustible situation.
The danger that lurks on every page, the suspense of not knowing whether Natalia’s men would try to kill one another kept me turning the page. The characters and story caught me in its grasp in the first epic book of this series, and I find this book even more alluring!
But then I got to the part where I wanted to throw my kindle across the room, and barely kept myself from doing so…..Queen Ann….You truly know how to keep your readers coming back for more!! Wily woman!
But I must warn my fellow readers, this is a series and it Must be read in order, or you miss vital information. So happy reading my dear fellow book lovers! I promise you won’t be disappointed!

I have to agree that cliffhangers are not any fun. Although, the stories sound really good with such good ratings.
