Review – Wolfsbane (Dark Hollow Wolf Pack #5) by Shannon West

Sometimes in a series like this you get five books in and the author starts to drop the ball a bit, but that is not the case here. ~ Guilty Pleasures

wbswDescription:
Evan Grant, a security guard in the Hunters’ prison, is anxious to prove himself with the group. A new prisoner arrives, and Evan feels an immediate attraction. The shifter is Brett, the most handsome man Evan’s ever seen, and the tortures the Hunters have put him through touch Evan’s heart. Bringing him pain medicine and food, he makes a strong connection with the handsome shifter. His attraction is overwhelming, and it becomes even more difficult when the Hunters’ scientists ask him to volunteer to mate with the shifter so they can study the bloodmatch. He agrees to the experiment only after the scientists promise nothing can go wrong, but after Evan mates with Brett, he overpowers the guards and escapes, taking Evan with him. It doesn’t take long to discover Evan’s the newest “pet” of the Mountain Wolf Pack, and Brett is his new master.

Shannon West continues her Dark Hollow Wolf Pack series with Wolfsbane, and I have to say this series is truly getting better and better!! Some series like this you get five books in and the author starts to drop the ball a bit, but that is so not the case here.

Evan Grant is a security guard for the Hunters’ prison, and he is shocked as heck when the higher ups ask him to mate with the wolf they have captive. He shocked even more by the strong pull he has towards the wolf. He knows deep down they are supposed to be monsters, but as he gets to know this wolf better he starts to doubt what the Hunters have told him.

The last thing Brett wanted for a bloodmate was a human, but he finds his amongst the hunters. He allows himself to be taken, but convincing Evan he isn’t the monster he thinks he is will be a bigger challenge than getting out of the prison after mating with him. Getting him home is just the beginning of their troubles. Brett is an old-fashioned kind of wolf, and he has certain expectations when it comes to his mate. Can he learn to change before they loose each other forever?

Like the rest of this series this book is quite the nail biter. I will admit that Brett is probably one the most hardheaded wolf of the pack when it comes to how he thinks things should go. The repercussions of their issues touch the entire pack. This is a great one!! I hope y’all like it as much as I have!! :)
