Review – Finding Chrissten (Legacy #5) by N.J. Walters

This long awaited book in the series was definitely worth the wait. ~ Guilty Pleasures

fcnwDescription:
She escaped hell. Now love must capture her heart.

For eighteen horrific months, Chrissten Lawton was at the mercy of a crazy doctor and his pureblood werewolf flunky. She was subjected to experiments, beaten, mated against her will…and fading fast.

Just as she reaches the breaking point, the Haven pack comes to her rescue. Although any strange male makes her nervous, one of her rescuers stays by her side night and day, and something within her responds to this wolf’s gentleness.

From the moment Hank Brewer picked up Chrissten’s unique scent, he’s been driven to help her overcome her trauma-fed fears. He may be a half-breed, but he never does anything halfway. As he dedicates every waking moment to her healing, their fragile link leads them toward something they both hesitate to name.

But the danger isn’t past. Chrissten’s mate is still on the loose and he won’t rest until she—and the rest of Haven’s females—are taken for the cruel enjoyment of his rogue pack. Even though Hank would give his life to save her, the biggest challenge lies ahead. Admitting their love to each other.

Product Warnings
This book contains an evil doctor, a crazy pureblood werewolf, a dysfunctional family, hunky werewolves, hot, sweaty sex, a daring rescue and a love that will make your heart sing.

Having been held captive for almost 2yrs Chrissten has been beaten and brutalized in the most imaginable ways. Mated without her consent to a pureblood wolf Brian who only wants to use her to breed when she is finally rescued by her brothers, Quinn and Craig and the Haven pack her only thought is to get better, stronger so she can kill her mate and be free from him and her family be safe. What she doesn’t expect is it to also be rescued by another half-breed male that makes her feel safe and want things she shouldn’t want while she is mated to another wolf even if she hates said wolf.

Hank Brewer has been helping Quinn and Craig look for their sister since they came to the Haven pack for help. The first time he saw a picture of Chrissten he knew there was something different about her then catching her scent when they had been so close to rescuing her he hasn’t been able to get it out of his mind. He knew she was his true mate.

The 5th book in the Legacy series N.J. Walters finally gave us Chrissten back even though she has endured so much she is strong & fierce yet fragile at the same time. This long awaited book in the series was definitely worth the wait as this long journey finally came to an end for Chrissten and getting her chosen mate Hank was even more bitter sweet. Hank has always been a favorite of mine, strong, possessive yet protective and gentle, at the same time he is loyal to his family his pack. He and Chrissten are perfect for one another.
