Review – Silent Mercy: An eShort Story by Lori Armstrong (Lorelei James writing as Lori Armstrong)

Recently returned from training at Quantico, FBI agent Mercy Gunderson stirs up trouble and uses her rarely seen feminine side to seduce her unsuspecting boyfriend, sexy-as-sin Sheriff Mason Dawson. When she revs up her Viper to get his attention while he’s on patrol, tempers and sparks fly—but their rendezvous is interrupted by a disturbing cry for help. The pair rush to the scene, where Mercy discovers that even though she can’t always save the day, she doesn’t have to be silent about it.

If you haven’t gotten the chance to meet Mercy Gunderson yet, you so should use Silent Mercy as you gateway to her. Mercy is a tough as nails kinda gal! She would never be mistaken for a girlie girl. She is finally back from months of FBI training, and she gets an idea of how she can get a moment alone with her sheriff boyfriend and kinda runs with it. Needless to say that doing 130 miles an hour in front of his patrol car isn’t the best plan, and like most of there attempts at time together this one doesn’t go as planned when the ugly sides of his job interfere as well.

I don’t want to give away too much of this great short, but I do have to say that Sherriff Mason Dawson is one hell of a man. He is one of those guys that just gets his girl, and doesn’t try to get her to change. His quiet strength brings out the softer sides of Mercy, and I just think that is freaking awesome. Lori Armstrong has written a novella that truly makes you long to hear more about these two!! Luckily we don’t have to wait too long for that. Hehehehe!! I hope y’all love this series and novella as much as I have!! Mercy is a character that just grabs a hold of your heart!! 🙂

Note: SILENT MERCY is a FREE short story, be on the lookout for the next Mercy book, MERCILESS out January 8,2013
