Description:
Just one night? Yeah, right. Pippa Laingley should have known better. When an unplanned evening of passion with Cameron Hollingsworth results in unplanned pregnancy, she’s at a crossroads. She knew going in that the enigmatic entrepreneur had built a fortress around his feelings. What she’s just discovered is that he’s loved and lost before—wife and child. Tragically.
Now Cam stands to lose it all again. If he lets Pippa get too close. If he pushes her away with loveless arrangements of financial support. Either way, he’s doomed…unless he can let himself love again.
DiDi’s Thoughts:
Undone By Her Tender Touch is book four in Maya Banks’ Pregnancy and Passion series. In the series all four guys are friends, who are for the most part arrogant, rich playboys. At one point or another throughout the series I wanted to slap all of them except Cam. Cam grabbed my attention in book one of the series because even though all four guys were jerks, there seemed to be more to Cam’s “jerkiness” than just being a conceited, I want it my way ass. I should’ve known Cam would be a tortured soul, because that is the kind of men I am drawn to. Pippa is the perfect heroine for him, she is independent, smart and not afraid to say what is on her mind.
Cam and Pippa spend one night of knock your socks off sex together, both knowing that is all it will be, neither have the time or desire for anything more. Until the plus sign pops up, then Pippa and Cam end up thrown together trying to figure out how a baby is going to fit into their lives. Cam is not going to let Pippa raise the baby on her own, but he tells her there will be no emotions involved. Pippa tells him fine, she doesn’t need him anyway. She can’t fight her developing feelings for Cam, he can’t let himself love her or show emotions about the baby. Cam is one of the few heroes who have made me want to punch him and hold him at the same time.
Undone By Her Tender Touch is an emotional roller coaster with beautifully written passionate love scenes between two complex characters who have to go through intensely painful ups and downs to get to their very satisfying HEA. UBHTT is part of a series, but can be read as a stand alone, I recommend it for anyone who loves emotional “Oops, here comes baby!” stories.
I have enjoyed this series and am sad to see it end.
