Description:
In the darkest corners of the night in Caldwell, New York, a conflict like no other rages. The city is home to a band of brothers born to defend their race: the warrior vampires of the Black Dagger Brotherhood.
Now back in the Brotherhood – and unrecognisable as the vampire leader he once was – Tohrment is physically emaciated and heartbroken beyond despair. When he begins to see his beloved in his dreams – trapped in a cold, isolating netherworld – Tohr turns to a self-serving fallen angel in hopes of saving the one he has lost. When he’s told he must learn to love another to free his former mate, Tohr knows they are all doomed . . .
Except then a female with a shadowed history begins to get through to him. Against the backdrop of the raging war with the lessers, and with a new clan of vampires vying for the Blind King’s throne, Tohr struggles between the buried past, and a very hot, passion-filled future . . . but can his heart let go and set all of them free?
DiDi’s Thoughts:
There are going to be 1,000,000,000 reviews for LOVER REBORN. So I am not going to do one of my typical wordy reviews. What I will say is that while I enjoyed the past three books, I did not love them like I LOVED the first six. Therefore, I say the following with respect, AWE, admiration and appreciation for a wonderful author.
With LOVER REBORN “The Bitch Is Back!” Why do I say this, because the entire time I was reading the book, Elton John’s song kept running through my head and I was giddy with excitement over how amazing each word I read was.
J.R. Ward outdid herself with LOVER REBORN and WOW, just WOW!
LOVER REBORN is 572 pages, it still wasn’t long enough, I did not want it to end. 572 pages of emotional roller coasters, twists and turns, humor – oh the humor, sexy smexin’ and just AWSOMENESS!!!
OH and the last three sentences of the last chapter, before the epilogue, had me squeelin’, screamin’ cryin’ and creamin, all at the same time =)
p.s. Kimber will be posting her review later this week. I am just still so in AWE of the entire frickin’ book, I’m speechless.
Due to the cost of this book it will not be eligible for the Weekly Reader Appreciation Contest.

I didn’t really like the main storyline of the last few books either. I’m hoping this one is a winner for me too.

Braine…I went in pouting over No’One because I felt the same about Wellsie…but for me The Warden pulled it off with flying colors. Have LOTS of tissues on hand =)
