Description:
When Vampires Go On Vacation . . .

Escaping a horrible marriage, Carolyn Connor has no desire to think about men—a vow she's determined to keep while on vacation in St. Lucia. She'll take the Caribbean sun and sea and plenty of tropical drinks with those cute umbrellas poolside, thank you. She absolutely does not need male company, no matter how tan and rock-hard his body may be.

Easy enough, but then Carolyn meets the charming Marguerite Argeneau, who is infamous among her family for her matchmaking prowess . . .

Christian Notte has well known the power of finding a life mate. He's seen enough of his Argeneau relatives taken down for the count, but he never imagined he'd let himself fall in love—until he meets the enthralling, charmingly skittish, and oh-so-mortal Carolyn. But how will he reveal what he is and still convince this once-bitten mortal to trust him with her heart . . . and her forever?

Kitty's Review:
Well, if you have read the other 15 Argeneau books by Lynsay Sands, you know what to expect in her latest “Under a Vampire Moon”. It's a light, funny, full of love book that keeps you turning page after page just waiting to see what Marguerite or Julius is going to do next to get Carolyn and Christian together forever as life mates.

The setting in the Caribbean and Christian being in a rock band playing the violin opens a lot of doors as to what can and will happen during their time together. Gia, Santo, Raffaele and Zanipolo just add to the humor of the book with all of their wise-cracks and scheming with Marguerite and Julius. Zanipolo's amazement with Carolyn thinking he was gay had me laughing out loud throughout the book. The scenes with Christian and Carolyn just getting to know each other are heart-warming, humorous and frustrating at times. Christian's jealousy when Carolyn decides to let loose with someone other than him and Captain Jack's reaction when he realizes that he does not stand a chance against Christian were just wonderful. Of course, there is a twist in the story (no spoiler) which brings everything together and explains a lot of what went on throughout the book. We won't discuss Bethany since I did not like her in the beginning of the book and hated her in the end. And, we all know how hot the sex scenes are …. wish I could find someone who would make me faint and I would so love to feel the “shared pleasure”. Marguerite, can you find me a life mate too?

I love how Ms. Sands writes so that you feel like you are right there with them. The interaction between the family, the comments and the support given to each other puts you right in the middle of what a great family dynamics is. There are parts of the book that you can actually think “this is how it would really happen” in a real family scene. She has a wonderful way of bringing each character, no matter how small in the book, to life and making them an integral part of the story. I am so looking forward to reading the rest of the Argeneau series … especially Zanipolo's – his should be hysterical!

I'm actually getting bored with the series. It all seems to be the same old, same old. I'm not ready to give up on it yet, but it's a check out from the library series for me.

You have no idea how jealous I am of you right now!!! I love this series (it is what actually got me addicted to romances). I can't wait to get this one. And after Marguerite finds you a lifemate, she can find me one too! LOL

I have read some of Lynsay Sands historicals that I enjoyed, but I have not read any of the vampire books. The vampire thing hasn't appealed to me much, but I may just have to try this series.

Anne, give this book a chance. I don't think you'll be bored with it. Marguerite and Julius are the only matriarch's in the book - no Lucien or other characters from the past books. She did something with Christian that I never thought I would see her write and it was hysterical the way she brought it all together. Carolyn's reaction to immortals was a little different from in the past as well.

Great review. I can't believe this is book 16. Sheesh, I'm really behind with this series. I think the last one I read was Vampires Are Forever.

Thanks,

I haven't read this series yet. I have read her Madison sisters trilogy. I like her writing style. I will have to look into these.
