Blurb:
A book in the STORM world.

Andros was a severely disabled geek working for STORM but now he’s a powerful shape-shifting dragon. Still a geek though. Meeting Faye when they’re sharing the same air space is a bit of a shock they quickly overcome in a convenient hotel room. Hot, fast, rampant sex is just what Andros needs. Tangling with Faye between the sheets, against her desk, pretty much anywhere he can have her takes energy Andros now has in abundance. But he won’t let his emotions follow.

Faye never met anyone in her long life as exciting as Andros. But he works for STORM, Faye’s enemy. She’s never had anyone so young, either. But she can’t resist his strength, his determination—or his ripped body. Together they must hunt down a mutual enemy, but to defeat him they have to come to terms with what they are, were and will become.

Alyn’s Thoughts:
Sleeping with the enemy is something Faye was willing to do for the good of her race, “The Talents”. That is what they call the species of shifters that Faye is proud to be part of and anxious to protect. Whether they shift into dragons, mystical creatures like pegasus, or even vampires, Faye has it set in her heart that she must protect them for the greater good. What Faye was not prepared for during her mission, was Andros. A computer geek by trade, Andros worked for the proverbial “big bad wolf” known as STORM. As far as Faye was concerned, that made Andros the bad guy and she was willing to seduce and bed him if necessary in order to gain access to the company building and save one of her own.

Andros had spent much of his life with a debilitating disease before becoming a Talent. Determined to forget the sorrows of his past he is thrilled to meet the exciting and beautiful Faye during an evening jaunt over the roof tops of New York. When things get steamy, he lets his guard down only to be betrayed. He is not willing to let Faye walk away and takes matters into his own hands to figure out why this bold beauty is so intriguing. Is Faye working for the enemy, or is STORM really the big bad corporation willing to strip the rights of Talents in the name of research?

I must admit when I first starting reading this book I thought it was going to be a slow read but boy was I wrong. While it took me a few pages to get brought into the story for explanation’s sake, once those dragons had their talons hooked in me I couldn’t get away. Not only is the attraction between the two characters strong, but the sympathy they have for each other as they discover their backgrounds is gripping. With a murder to solve, kidnappers on the loose and truths to be discovered, this book was hard to put down. Lynne Connolly created a phenomenal character that gives insight into a disability and shows that guys in wheelchairs are just as sexy as those that aren’t. 4 stars and a great read with an unique take on shifters!

  1. I totally agree with the review. Lynne surprised me but once I read one I had to read all of the Dept 57 novels. Her stories are Hot and so is the review.

  2. Haven’t read any dragon stories, but your reviews make them sound interesting. I am willing to give them a try. Thanks!
