Kimber’s Review-Sweet Thursday (Wild Irish #4) by Mari Carr

Thursday’s Child has far to go…….

What’s this Book About?
In high school, Lily was too shy to do anything about her feelings for her best friends, Justin and Killian. Now she’s ready to put to rest her regrets with a proposal that might shock even her oversexed friends-the three of them, together, one night, multiple positions.

K and J are more than a little surprised to see Lily at their ten-year reunion. The plain Jane they remember is now a stunning woman-who wants to have sex with both of them. Who are they to deny her? Even if Killian suspects they might be treading on dangerous emotional territory.

The night stretches into the weekend and, as K suspected, none of them want it to end. But he and Lily know people live in pairs, not trios, and they call a halt now, before it’s too late.

Justin, however, knows a good thing when he sees it. He’s ready to fight for what he wants . . . what they all need. He just has to convince Lilly and Killian that unconventional can also be extraordinary.

Kimber’s Thoughts:
This is a sweet and sexy ménage story about three best friends who separate after high school only to reconnect 10 years later at their high school reunion. Growing up, Lily knew she was in love with them both, but because she was extremely shy and felt her feelings were just an impossible fantasy she never let on how she truly felt. Fast forward 10 years and not only is Lily not shy any more she’s decided she doesn’t want to live with regret any longer and proposes the three of them spend one night together to make her fantasies come true. K and J are shocked to see Lily is not that shy girl they left behind to join the Army and they decide to take her up on her proposition.

Ms. Carr does a great job showing the eroticism of their relationship but also the difficulties as each character faces the question of “what will everyone think of us or will everyone accept us?” I truly felt the emotions they struggled with, especially with regards to Justin’s family. Pat, the patriarch of the Collin’s family, surprised me with his reaction and only endeared me to him even more. Though the three people involved were very much in love you were never sure it was going to all work out in the end because of all the doubts, more proof of the author’s ability to bring it all together.

One of the many reasons I love this series is because of the family dynamics. The banter between the siblings is laugh out loud funny with never a dull moment. They definitely have their family issues but when all is said and done they are committed to each other, and the support they show is heartening and so far every story leaves me wanting more.

I am totally invested in all the family members and have enjoyed reading each sibling’s story. I’ll be anxious to hear how this “unconventional” household is fairing and hope to read about them in future books.

We are four books in and I continue to say this is one of the best erotic romance series out there.

I love a good menage story and this one was good, however without giving anything away Any Given Sunday in my opinion was much more interesting on so many levels. Don’t get me wrong, this entire series has been full of great stories and the family dynamics are incredible but there was something about Sean’s story that was just WOW!

Once again,, thanks for the fantastic review. Can’t wait to get started on this series.

Before I start it, I made a goal to “try” to catch up on series that I’m already committed too.

    :)
