HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Happy New Year to ALL OF YOU from ALL of US at Guilty Pleasures!!

2011 has been great! GP has gotten off to a great start because of YOU!!!  We have tons planned for 2012, including the I LOVE ME Challenge.  Click here for details

What is your goal, wish or dream for 2012?

I am not making a resolution.  I am making a promise to myself to take care of me in 2012. My only child is in college now, so all I am responsible for is ME and it’s time to take care of ME.  Is that selfish?  I don’t think so, because for 18+ years I have neglected ME in more ways than one.

Check  the new CHAT ROLL on the left side of the page, our first I LOVE ME chat will be 1/2/12 at 8:00 pm, CST!!!

I LOVE ME Thought for New Year’s Day:

It’s never too late……to love life. Consider the alternative. Have the time of your life. It’s up to you. You can live flat out, or you can slowly rust. Be the best you can!

WE LOVE WHEN YOU LEAVE COMMENTS…To leave a comment click on comments a page will pop up for you to leave your comment. Thank you!!

Happy New Year to all of you! I don’t think it’s selfish to take care of yourself, since you are the only one who can! I think as women we are more likely to put ourselves last and feel guilty when we do something to take care of us. But it is up to us to love ourselves enough to put our needs first.

Hope no one takes this as a rant. I meant for it to empower us!

I think many of us wait until retirement to enjoy life, which is a way too late, IMO.

My goal is to do volunteer work at a nursing home. I would love to visit the residents and read the classics to them.

    Happy New Year to All.

I wonder if we subconsciously send this message to our daughters. I also am planning to have at least one day a month that will be a “me” day. :)

It won’t let me fill out the contest form unless I fill out all those social network sites. I’m not interested in all those sites. Facebook is enough. Sorry, I’m not interested in the challenge if I have to belong to all those sites to enter the contest.

I am making this the year to look after myself.. Because I have spent so many years looking after others. With my mom gone now, I need to look after myself… I have some medical issues and I have not been looking after them as good as I should.. So this year I am consentrating on ME..
    PS
It would not let me enter the contest, because I didn’t answer the twitter question. I don’t Twitter or Tweet….

Sign me up! Three reasons are motivating me this year.

First- My 18 year old step-daughter is graduating from high school in May and her mother, my hubby’s ex just lost 65 lbs and looks fantastic. That is total motivation!

Second-my husband is a disabled veteran with many, many health issues. His weight has really escalated with all the meds and lack of exercise. I hate to admit this, but I too have gained a ton of weight and have blamed it on his health issues. I know the best thing for both of us is to work on being healthy.

Third- my 9 yo son is overweight. How can I expect him to eat right and exercise if I don’t set the example?

This is the year. I am tired of the way I feel, tired of the way I look and tired of being tired.

    Wishing everyone lots of success!

    My goals for 2012 are:

    1. Lose 70 pounds.

    2. Get my first book self-published onto Amazon before the end of the year.

    3. Take a trip with my friends.
