Summary:

Jamie Kendrick went on a trip to hell at the hands of Stanford Reddington, a monster protected by money and power. Now, asking for Last Chance Rescue’s help, Jamie makes plans for her revenge. And Dylan Savage, one of LCR’s most skilled operatives, is given an assignment he despises but can’t refuse—to train the lovely Jamie but thwart her revenge plot at all costs. With tender ruthlessness, he pries open her most intimate secrets, and the attraction they’ve both tried to deny explodes into a scorching love affair—an affair that Dylan has to end. Months after Jamie stormed away from Dylan and LCR, the two meet again—at the home of Stanford Reddington. In the grips of hurt, anger, desire, and undercover danger, Jamie and Dylan will risk more than broken hearts: they’re risking everything to stop an evil fiend from destroying more lives, including their own.

D’s Review:

Jamie and Dylan are up there with Noah and Samara as my favorite LCR H/h.  Sweet Revenge is fast paced, emotional, a definite page turner with some twists and surprises thrown in.  The chemistry between Jamie and Dylan is off the charts hot and the banter between the two of them is extremely entertaining.   Jamie is such a strong woman, even after everything she has been through. She shocked Noah by standing up to him and making him give her what she wanted.  Dylan, Dylan, Dylan….is such a sweetheart under all the grumpiness and grouching…There is a part where he tells Jamie what she reminds him of that is so sweet it brought tears to my eyes.  TBH when he admits to himself he’s in love with her, their first kiss and their first time are some of the sweetest scenes I’ve ever seen from a total Alpha male.  Jamie and Dylan are just a perfect couple, they both have horrible baggage, but find healing and comfort in each other.

It was great to see some of the other LCR H/h in Sweet Revenge…and of course it wouldn’t be a LCR if Noah didn’t try to play cupid at least once.

The only thing I hated about this book is after the acknowledgment there is a page that says “Turn the page for a sneak peek at Sweet Reward, the final novel.”  I hate to see the series come to an end…but per my interview on 9/1/11, with Christy, Sweet Reward is the end of LCR, however she is working on something new that I have faith will be just as AWESOME…BUT I HATE TO SEE THE LAST of NOAH and the LCR family.   However……I wonder what happens to the young Raphael??????

  3. You’re killing me, here, D! How am I going to get anything done in my EDJ or my TBR if you keep throwing these tempting reviews at me! OK, OK, I’m off to the online bookstore to buy a book or three.

  4. Great review Dawn.. I gotta read it first to believe they are as good as Noah and Samara 🙂 And yeah boo on there only being one more after this one.

(ps.. I gotta 4 bookmarks from different authors today and Christy’s was one of them)

  5. Thanks Cherlynne – please send me your address to mail you your bookmark, you can either send it to my facebook or to naughtyd@bookpimpsreviews.com

Cindy…it’s been awhile since I read Noah and Samara, so if they aren’t better than Dylan and Jamie are equal too =) (do you want another one of the LCR bookmark? if so send me your address)

  6. Becky..I’ve been talking about these books every since I read the first one =) I have these in paperback, because I had the first 6 before I got my naughty kindle. I know how you are about getting into a series that already has so many out. You can read Sweet Justice and Sweet Revenge without going back to the first 6. The way Christy writes the series in trilogies makes them easy to pick up and not feel lost.

  7. Got this email from Bonnie and told her I would post it for her, and send her a book mark Thank you Bonnie for following my sites, I really appreciate it =)
